Imagine a center for GLBT people of many faiths, their families and friends, coming together - sharing life, love and friendship. Imagine a place that hosts Sanctuaries of different faiths operating in harmony under one roof and lifted up by the hearts of many traditions, prayers, and glorious music. This is The Metropolitan Community of Faith. It is not just a place - it is an idea whose time has come.
We come from different backgrounds, cultures, religious traditions and theological thought. And while the diversity among us is rich, the bond we share is even richer. This is because we are one family with a common purpose; to love one another; to live in peace and to freely express ourselves as individuals, as a community, in worship, in praise, and as dear friends.
We know, that nothing is impossible when we join together. With this commitment in our hearts and souls, we bring forth our vision:

A New Home
We are planning to build an extraordinary home for The Metropolitan Community of faith, where there will be a church and a synagogue, as well as a special room for meditation and other spiritual and social gatherings all under one roof! In addition, we will have a Library, Ballroom, Recreation Room, Nursery, Gift Shop and more. Our offices will reside in the building as well.

The Time is Now
While we are in the process of fundraising for our new physical space, our vision has already begun to unfold; our spiritual space is already thriving - The Metropolitan Community of Faith is ALIVE.
Who's Invited?
You. The Metropolitan Community of Faith will be a center where people can participate not only in religious services, but also in social activities, community discussions, a host of events and celebrations of all kinds. Whatever your background, culture, faith, tradition or personal convictions are, you are a part of our vision. While some people might express their hearts by attending religious services, others might express their passion through community service. Also, some of us just might want to expand our circle of friends - and that is wonderful.
Interfaith Connection
Having a place where people of different faiths worship and socialize is a profound opportunity to grow and learn about each other. Together, we will breakthrough barriers that kept us apart in the past; create new relationships, and form a powerful bond. We know that God loves us all - and is pleased when we are loving each other. Together we are stronger and we will have a greater impact in our communities.
One of the ways we will make an impact, is by creating an annual concert to share our joy and traditions, and to raise money. We call this our annual "Glory" concert. Each year, we celebrate our theme "One World, One Voice, United in Praise" with a host of choirs, speakers, fabulous auctions and wonderful entertainment. The Future
While we are embarking on this journey with the Christian and Jewish Communities, we are looking forward to welcoming people of all cultures, backgrounds and faiths. Please contact us if you know a of group that would like to gather and use our future facility.

Social Activities:
Youth Programs - Our Youth need spiritual nourishment along with our love and support. Our programs will lift their spirits and teach them how each one of us can make a difference for each other and the community at large. The MCC and MCS Choirs - The choirs at MCF will grow in numbers and be known for their diverse music and incredible spirit. To find out more - Please see Music Ministries.
Bereavement Group - "Bikur Cholim" :
There will be a designated group who will take charge of knowing about anyone in our community who is ill, or has passed away. People in need will be cared for, loved and supported by MCF.
Community Service - "Tikkun Olam" - "Tikkun Olam" is the Hebrew word for 'repairing the world' or 'social justice'. MCF will be devoted to the love of all humanity and active in the world community. There will be a calendar of events and opportunities to lend your hand and heart to others who are in need in our community and the world. Everyone can make a difference!
Group Meetings/Counseling -The Center can provide space as needed for Support Groups, Recovery Groups and Workshops.
